The LYCRA Company recently showcased its latest denim innovations in person at the DenimsandJeans India show. As one of the first exhibitions held in India since COVID-19 began, visitors were enthusiastic to see so many new denim solutions. Foot traffic at the company's booth was steady and visitors were excited to browse the various innovative denim fabrics on display.

Stretch Denim Innovations

Spandex (elastane) innovations featured at the exhibition included LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber, LYCRA® DUAL COMFORT technology, and LYCRA® Anti-Slip fiber for denim. Sustainable fibers and fabric concepts on display included moisture-wicking COOLMAX® EcoMade technology for cool and dry comfort and THERMOLITE® EcoMade technology, which delivers lightweight warmth. Both technical performance polyester yarns can be made from 100% textile waste or 100% recycled PET.

Supply Chain Issues Discussed

Fabrizio Maggi, The LYCRA Company's Apparel Commercial Director for South Asia & EMEA, participated in a lively panel discussion on "Raw Material Volatility and its Effect on the Supply Chain" during the show. The panelists talked about timely issues such as the need for long lead times, significant cost increases, and the impact of stockouts.
