The LYCRA Company opens its largest ever spandex production facility in Yinchuan, China

We’re opening the doors to a new chapter for The LYCRA Company.
On November 7, employees and local dignitaries gathered in Yinchuan, China, to celebrate the grand opening of our largest spandex manufacturing facility in the world.
With a starting capacity of 30,000 tons of spandex annually, our new, state-of-the-art facility is ready to meet the growing demand for spandex throughout China and the Asia-Pacific region. The Yinchuan plant, which created 500 jobs, is our second spandex manufacturing facility in China, joining the first in Foshan. Our customers in Asia will now have full, local access to the high-quality spandex they need, with access to our textile experts and the LYCRA® brand touch.
