The challenge:    

Consumer insights show that top bands for knee highs, thigh highs, stay ups, hold ups, ankle highs and trouser socks can be frustrating to wear. They seem to either dig in and cause red marks, or they don’t stay in place and slip into shoes. Leg diameters come in a variety of shapes and sizes that can make a comfortable fit difficult to achieve. This problem has led to consumer dissatisfaction—especially in the thigh-high category—which has also been overlooked in terms of innovation.

The solution:                       

LYCRA® MADE TO FIT YOU technology are specially designed band constructions that will improve fit, wearer comfort, and consumer satisfaction in different hosiery garments:

For thigh-highs, hold ups and stay ups, a combination of any type of LYCRA® fiber for hosiery and a patent-pending single layer top band construction is used to reduce roll over and ensure stay-in-place power.
For ankle highs, knee highs and trouser socks, a double layer LYCRA® 3D technology construction is used, which results in secure stay-up power without leaving red marks or constricting the wearer.

All top bands follow LYCRA® 3D technology construction with LYCRA® fiber knitted into every course, so the garment comfortably stretches to fit a range of leg shapes and sizes.
